Guild Management and Finding a Group
Hi, all. I'm new to the board, but I have a suggestion. I was just looking over my friends shoulder while he was playing Everquest (is this censored? lol), and I noticed how in depth it's "guild management" tool is. In Guild Wars, it offers practically no information about characters or classes online or off. For example, in EQ, it shows the Class, Race, Rank, Last Time On, Location, and Current Level. Every time I log into GW, I'm constantly asking what my guild mates are doing (and they are asking me as well). It would be nice to be able to see that "Mr Guild Wars" is playing in random arenas, so that other guild mates could potentially join that player in Team Arenas or whatever quest/mission he may be on.
Also, the whole "W/Mo20 LFG" thing is getting extremely played out. In EQ, it also has an advanced group search tool. Wouldn't it be nice to be able to press "G" or whatever and see a list of players with their classes, levels, and quests/missions they are looking to do. Sort of like a status thing. I would be able to set my Mo/Me up in the Ice Caves Of Sorrow or any other mission town as LFG to do the mission. It would really speed things up and encourage other people to form groups as well. If there are large amounts of available players for the mission, you could quickly add them at your leisure.
Of course, they would leave the conventional ways of making a group, but this would make my life so much easier, faster, and more enjoyable.
Sorry if these have been suggested before!
Have a good one!

Pretty sure they have been, and those are tools that should be essential.. Take Euro server for example, trying to do mission and there seems to be no-one around.. until you look through german-french-italian-spanish districts. Even a simple interface that would 'connect' these seperate districts would ease up teaming. On a global scale, random questing could be easier, especially for the Titan quests, which are very painful to get a team for at times.

guild management could definitively be improved... After all GW is about guilds, should have the best guild management system
at least give us a complete roster history and guild members professions and lvl, need this to manage the guild...

I wish there were more ingame features for getting information about guilds for all players and about members for guild's mates. I wish as well, there were better in-game communication means for players looking for guild and guilds looking for players.
In my view, it is a bit ironic that a game named Guild Wars has so poor features for guilds. The only reason to explain this which I am able to imagin is that the concept of guild which the game developers have been thinking about is: an extra-game group of friends who join to play together, who own a web page and an extra-game forum and use Team Speak or the like. Therefore, it seems to me, that it is not expected that players who enter the game are going to look for a guild in-game and to communicate just in-game.
What do you think?

Seeing where people are would be nice, so I don't have to say "I'm in TA" every time someone new logs on and asks "what's everyone up to."
Class/level/etc. would not be useful to me or my guild. We need to know what classes/skills/items each player has unlocked (or on their PvE toon as applicable), not what they're playing right now, and further what builds they're comfortable playing. I suspect that would be too much information to manage in-game.
